The Gothenburg City Card
It is important that you fill in the time and date on the reverse side of the card before you begin using it. The card is activated in the card reader at the first attraction you visit and is then valid for the time period you chose at purchase.
When using the card on public transport, you must present your City Card for inspection when requested to do so by the ticket inspector.
Göteborg & Co are not responsible for any journeys made with an invalid ticket.
Parking Card
When you purchase a Gothenburg City Card or a Mobile City Card, a parking card is also included. This gives you free parking in Gothenburg’s public car parks. Further information about where you can park for free is available on our website under the heading ‘Travel’. The parking card can be collected from one of Gothenburg’s Tourist Information Centres (Kungsportsplatsen 2 or in Nordstan Shopping Centre).
Remember to fill in the time and date on the parking card and place it in your front windscreen so that it is clearly visible.
Göteborg & Co accept no responsibility for incorrect use of car parks and/or the parking card.
City Card for children
Children are defined as up to and including the age of 17 (i.e. under 18). City Cards for children can only be ordered and used together with an adult Gothenburg City Card. You can order a maximum of four child cards per adult card. City Cards for children are only available for families and not for schools and youth groups.
Please note that most tourist attractions are free for children under five, except Universeum, which has free entry for children under three, and Liseberg Amusement Park, which has free entry for children under 110cm in height.
